Essential Question
What are the definitions and significance of some vocabulary words used in ancient Egypt?

Today, I asked some scribes about the Egyptian language, and some vocabulary that they used. These are some words they described to me:

The delta near Egypt led to the Mediterranean Sea. If the Egyptians wanted to travel somewhere overseas, then they could use that delta. |

Red Land, Black Land:"The ancient Egyptians thought of Egypt as being divided into two types of land, the 'black land' and the 'red land'. The 'black land' was the fertile land on the banks of the Nile. The ancient Egyptians used this land for growing their crops. The 'red land' was the barren desert that protected Egypt on two sides. These deserts separate ancient Egypt from neighboring countries and invading armies." (Geography)
